Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Philadelphia, PA. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our IDD Division. Training is provided, no experience required, and pay is $16 per hour.

As a DSP, you’ll join a compassionate team to assist with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and community engagement. This is an opportunity to mentor, coach, and advocate for individuals to achieve independent living goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Age 18 or older.
• Paid training provided, no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support and transportation as needed.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
