Assisted Independence, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide 1:1 care for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in home and community settings. This part-time role offers after-school and weekend hours, with responsibilities including documenting care records and progress notes.
DSPs will be trained on Indiana standards and must complete incident reporting and required trainings.
The nature of the job of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is to provide 1:1 care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities at home and in the community. This is a part time position with after-school and weekend hours.
All DSPs will assist individuals supported with one or more of the following: self-care, self-direction, expressive or receptive language, ambulation or mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), learning, independent living, economic self-sufficiency, physical activity, or community participation. All DSPs will document work records via AccelTrax with mandatory clocking in and out using Electronic Visit Verification if applicable. Work records will include a narrative note for each shift with what was done to assist the individual, the individual\'s whereabouts, and the duration of the activities. Progress notes will also include and option to select goals worked on. All DSPs will be trained on the Indiana Home and Community Support Professional standards with additional training as needed on Behavior Support Plans, Risk Plans, or Medication Administration. All DSPs will be trained on and expected to complete Incident Reporting as needed.
