Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled, Inc. (AEDD) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a male 1:1 assignment in Little Rock. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on life skills, daily routines, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency.
• Alternatively, 2 years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Arkansas driver's license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills, including health, hygiene and independent living tasks.
• Foster a positive and respectful environment at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily routines as outlined in the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan.
• Help individuals engage with the community through activities like shopping, social events and appointments.
• Provide safe transportation using your personal vehicle and meet AR state insurance requirements.
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress.
• Offer input during annual service planning meetings.
• Complete required training, including CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving and in-service sessions.
• Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time.

What We're Looking For

• Age Requirement: 18 years or older.
• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency. Alternatively, two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities may qualify.
• Driver's License & Insurance: Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
• Background Check & Drug Screening: Required for all candidates.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with individuals and understand written instructions.

Physical Requirements
