Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking Weekend Warrior Resident Counselors (Float) to support our Residential Programs in the Capital Region. This role emphasizes assisting and promoting independence in daily treatment, care and services for individuals we support, with flexible weekend scheduling.

Travel to programs in the Capital Region is required. The position offers an enhanced compensation rate of $21.00 per hour and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO,

Qualifications

• Traveling to programs in the Capital Region area is required.
• Weekend Coverage is required.
• Must have specialized training in First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R, OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, and CFDS Authorized Driver within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist, provide and promote independence in residents’ daily treatment, care and services.
• Implement and document all elements of staff action plans.
• Promote independence, community inclusion and personal choice while respecting residents’ dignity and ability to take informed risks.

Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.We are searching for Weekend Warrior Resident Counselors (Float) to support our Residential Programs at an enhanced compensation rate.This position is responsible for assisting, providing and promoting independence in residential individuals’ daily treatment, care and services.Responsibilities:Responsible for assisting in the implementation of all elements of staff action plans and completing associated documentationPromoting independence, community inclusion, individualization and productivity while respecting the persons supported personal choice, lifestyles and their dignity to take informed risks are critical functions of the jobMust be flexible to work at any residential location as program and staffing needs change on a day to day basisRequirements:Traveling to programs in the Capital Region area is requiredWeekend Coverage -Must be have specialized training - First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R, OPWDD Medication Administration Certification, and CFDS Authorized Driver within the 90 days of employment. Must complete additional program specific training requirements during first six months of employment.
