Job summary

Behavioral Health and Developmental Services of Strafford County, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in a residential home and support clients in their daily lives within the community.

You will help with activities of daily living, support behavioral self-management, and encourage emotional regulation and personal growth in a 1:1 or group living setting.

The Role:

The Direct Support Professional at our residential home will be working directly with clients in their home and community. This can be in a 1:1 setting or in group living settings, to support clients with activities of daily living, to improve functional skills, develop emotional regulation, to work towards supporting client’s behavioral self-management, increase verbal expression of personal needs, and encourage interest in personal growth.

What we’re looking for:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D


• Experience in Human Services industry preferred


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job


• Must be able to exercise independent judgment and use discretion in the performance of job duties while operating within the limits of standard practice


• Hold a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle liability coverage
