Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Gallagher Services program, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Evening) to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on dignity, independence, and meaningful activities, with an evening schedule from 3PM to 11PM on Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat, and Sun.

You will support daily routines, meals, and community activities, while maintaining respectful records and advocating for residents’

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and provide physical assistance when needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care in a way that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
• Assist with meals of their choice, encourage healthy eating, and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speech.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care.

PAY RANGE: $20 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience and certifications)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

The work schedule is: Mon,Tues,Wed,Sat and Sun 3PM-11PM.

How You’ll Support

• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

Minimum Requirements

• Mustbe at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles andassistingpeople who use wheelchairs
• Able tolift upto 75 pounds, stand forlong periods, and provide physicalassistancewhen needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
