Job summary

Youth Consultation Service (YCS) Fisher Hall in New Jersey seeks a part-time on-site Youth Care Worker to supervise activities, support structured routines, and collaborate with case managers.

Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with 3+ years of youth-work experience in a behavioral group setting; a valid driver's license is required, and enrollment in an MSW program is encouraged for growth within the agency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health, etc.).
• MSW enrollment preferred to achieve growth within the agency.
• High school diploma with 3+ years of youth-work experience in a behavioral group setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, and support recreational and socialization activities.
• Lead milieu staff and collaborate with the youth's case manager, clinician, and prescriber.
• Engage with youth based on behavioral intervention plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Observe, document, and acknowledge positive behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Fisher Hall is a group residence home for high risk boys & girls ages 5 -13 with challenges and mental health disorders.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities
• Play an active role in leading the milieu staff through youth’s structured routine while collaborating with youth’s case manager, clinician, and prescriber
• Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment
• Observing, documenting, and acknowledging positive behaviors
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health etc.), Psychology preferred. Preference to those interested in enrolling in an MSW program, to achieve growth within the agency.

High school diploma requires 3 years or more experience working with youth in a behavioral group setting.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Schedule: Weekday or Weekends Part time or On-Call Shift
