Job summary

ACHIEVE is seeking a Direct Support Professional - Residential in Broome County, NY. This full-time role offers flexibility with evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

You will assist residents with activities of daily living, help develop independent living skills, administer medications as required, and support safe and respectful daily operations in a licensed residential setting. Training and ongoing supervision provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in human services or with individuals with functional differences preferred.
• Valid NY State driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift and assist with up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, hygiene, toileting).
• Support development of independent living skills (cooking, housekeeping, laundry, shopping).
• Assist with money management and budgeting.
• Administer medications and document per policy.
• Transport residents to medical appointments and activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized living environment.
• Participate in assessments, service planning, and team meetings.
• Communicate health, safety, and behavioral concerns to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD Part 633 and Part 624.
• Attend required trainings and meetings; stay updated on communications.
• Maintain reliable attendance to support staffing needs.

Wage:

$20.00 – $21.75/hour

Responsibilities
