Qualifications

• Flexibility with assignments and schedule; reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist a nonverbal client with getting off the school bus and staying engaged at home and in the community.
• Provide personal care as needed and help with mobility, including wheelchair assistance.
• Offer enrichment activities and trips to parks, libraries, and nature areas.
• Transport to activities and maintain safety during travel.
• Follow Indera's technology policy when using apps in the community.

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed –Syracuse, NY (PL - DH)A 20-year-old male in the Eastwood area is looking for a Direct support professional to assist him at home. He is looking for assistance with getting off his school bus and keeping busy at home and sometimes in the community.He spends most of his days at school. When home, he enjoys to play with toys that make noise like music, vibration and lights. He enjoys taking car rides and being around others. He is non verbal but communicates through facial expressions and movements. He would like to go to parks, enjoy nature and to libraries.The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate must be willing to learn about different movement and facial expressions as a form of communication.
