Job summary

Whole Life in Connecticut is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Coventry. The DSP role focuses on supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, promoting independence, and ensuring safety and dignity in daily living.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, accompany clients to activities, document care, and collaborate with families and managers to implement personalized plans. Part-time with benefits, evening/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background checks, driving record, and safety checks required.
• Ability to document care in English and communicate with clients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meals.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
