Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring Part-Time and PRN Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff,/Home Health Aides in Cookeville, TN to deliver person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. No experience required – we provide PAID training!

Starting pay is $15.68 per hour. Responsibilities include direct care, daily routines, health monitoring, documenting care, community activities, and safe transportation to appointments, with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to stay calm and use good judgment in crises.
• Background checks and drug testing are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns promptly.
• Support the learning and development of independent and community-based skills.
• Engage individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and community activities.
• Complete program documentation and billable records accurately and timely.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community members, businesses, and families.
