Job summary

Lehigh Valley Companion Care Homes in Whitehall, PA seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide personal care and support to residents in our care homes. You will assist with bathing, grooming, medication administration, documentation, and engaging residents in activities while promoting independence in a safe, respectful environment.

Training is provided and scheduling includes evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or a relevant certification.
• Previous experience in direct care is preferred but training is provided.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to assist with transfers and other care needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Administer medications and document accurately following prescribed schedules.
• Provide emotional support and foster positive relationships with residents.
