You will support routines, encourage independence, and safeguard health and welfare while respecting personal preferences. The role offers $18.40 per hour with shift differentials for eligible evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Direct Support Professional provides direct care within the Community Residential Program. This program provides residential services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Elk County. The Direct Support Professional provides daily individualized care to each consumer while encouraging independence, respecting personal preferences, and ensuring their health and welfare.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

1. Age 18 or older by the completion of new hire training and orientation.

2. Ability and willingness to learn new skills involving working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Certifications & Licenses

1. Valid driver's license, good driving record, driver for 3 years, preferred.

2. Capacity to successfully complete first aid, CPR, and medication administration courses

• Retention bonus -$100 after 90 days for successful completion of probation and $250 after 6 months for completion of all training requirements and meeting position expectations. Additional service milestone bonuses beginning at 1 year.
