Dickinson Center, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily, individualized care in a Community Residential Program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Elk County.

You will promote independence and respect client preferences while ensuring health and welfare. The role requires learning new skills, driving with a valid license where needed, and meeting certification expectations.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Direct Support Professional provides direct care within the Community Residential Program. This program provides residential services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Elk County. The Direct Support Professional provides daily individualized care to each consumer while encouraging independence, respecting personal preferences, and ensuring their health and welfare.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

1. Age 18 or older by the completion of new hire training and orientation.

2. Ability and willingness to learn new skills involving working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Certifications & Licenses

Valid driver's license, good driving record, driver for 3 years, preferred.

Capacity to successfully complete first aid, CPR, and medication administration courses
