UCP Central PA is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Hershey, PA to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings. Prior caregiving is welcome but training is provided; a valid driver’s license is required for transportation and activities.

You’ll learn to assist with daily living, encourage independence, and document progress while promoting a safe, meaningful home life. Opportunities for certifications and advancement exist.

Qualifications

• Entry level, training provided.
• A valid driver’s license and 6 months driving experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Access to a vehicle with insurance, registration, and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and transportation to appointments.
• Support independence and life-skill development.
• Build trusting relationships through effective communication.
• Follow individualized plans and document progress.
• Provide health and safety support including medication reminders.
• Encourage community involvement and meaningful activities.
