Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Butler, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides. We offer Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN roles with PAID training and no experience required. A valid driver’s license is required to support individuals in the community.

Starting pay is $17.25 per hour. We provide comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a supportive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations.
• Employment is contingent upon background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Assist with learning and development of independent and community-based skills.
• Participate in community, social, and recreational activities with individuals.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and community activities.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely.
• Build a support network by connecting with community members, businesses, and families.
• Other tasks may be assigned and cooperate with inspectors and staff.
