Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Newark, DE program. We hire immediately with no experience required and provide PAID training.

Pay rate is $15.75/hr, or $17.75/hr with Enhanced Pay, working under supervision to foster independence and daily living skills. As a DSP, you will help residents with daily tasks, promote personal growth, and participate in a supportive team focused on well-being and development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance independence.
• Guide residents in daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry.
• Support and mentor residents under supervision to promote goals and well-being.
