Chimes in Millsboro, DE is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence. This on-site, Mon-Fri 8 am - 3 pm role offers hands-on care, support with daily living skills, and opportunities to learn under a mission-driven nonprofit.

You’ll follow individualized care plans, document progress, assist with personal care, and participate in training and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Experience in disability services is preferred but not required—training is provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
