Chimes International Limited is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Newark, NJ. The role focuses on empowering individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence and confidence within a supportive team.

The DSP provides hands-on support, follows care plans, documents progress, and may administer medications while ensuring safety and a positive environment. Role may involve travel between programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred, but training is provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing, and daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles require travel between Residential and Day programs.
