Job summary

Chimes of Virginia, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence. This mission-driven role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care within a supportive team.

You will follow individualized care plans, assist with daily living tasks, and may travel between Residential and Day programs. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability services preferred, not required (training provided).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
