Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on, person-centered support for individuals with autism and complex needs in a home setting. You will engage in activities, assist with daily living, manage medication administration (training provided), and document each shift while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Commitment, patience, and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• ABA or behavior-based support experience preferred.
• Comfort with nonverbal communication and structured routines.

Responsibilities

• Engage in activities such as music, movement, and interactive play.
• Provide full support with personal care, hygiene, and dressing.
• Assist with feeding and dietary needs.
• Follow structured routines and visual schedules.
• Support behavioral plans using calm, consistent approaches.
• Provide transportation and community support.
• Administer medications (training provided).
• Complete accurate documentation each shift.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured home environment.
