Direct Support Professional - Lexington, Bruton-Smith ICF - 2nd Shift - 3:45 pm to 11:45 pm Various weekdays & Every other weekend

Join us as a Direct Support Professional at Burton Center in Lexington, SC. This is a full-time, second shift position from 3:45 pm to 11:45 pm, with various weekdays and every other weekend off.

Responsibilities include:
  • Implementing vocational training programs for adults with disabilities and special needs.
  • Assisting individuals with self-help skills such as toileting and eating.
  • Monitoring individuals and completing monthly progress reports.
  • Transporting individuals to and from the center and on field trips.
  • Providing one-on-one care as required, including feeding and toileting, following individual care plans.
  • Participating in staff orientation, in-services, and workshops.
  • Administering medications if necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Valid SC driver's license.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and stand or walk for long periods.
