Lifetime Assistance in LeRoy, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional – Residential to provide personal care, support independence, and ensure safety for individuals with disabilities.

You will follow individualized service plans, document progress in the Electronic Health Record, and help with daily living activities; a weekend schedule applies. Starting wage is $21.55/hour, with a $0.75 weekend differential bringing it to $22.30/hour.

Qualifications

• Must meet Vehicle Operator requirements (except overnight/relief shifts).
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain).
• Must pass background checks and clearances (SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, MHL).
• Ability to follow individualized plans and safety protocols.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation in the Electronic Health Record.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks such as thorough cleaning.
• Support individuals in developing independence, self-help, and social skills.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being, including medication administration (if certified).
• Implement and document progress on individualized service plans and daily supports.
• Encourage community integration and participation in social and recreational activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training, certifications, and ongoing professional development.

Reports To: Residential Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, 32 hours/week - Monday, Friday & Saturday 1pm-9pm, Sunday 7am-3pm (Tuesday-Thursday OFF)
