Job summary

Lifetime Assistance is seeking a Direct Support Professional for our Residential Services in LeRoy, NY. This Full-Time role offers a structured schedule, a starting wage of 21.55 USD per hour with a 0.75 weekend differential, and on-site work.

As a DSP, you will assist with ADLs, support independence, ensure safety, and document progress in the care plans. We provide extensive training, tuition assistance, health benefits, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; dependable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy.
• Must meet Vehicle Operator requirements.
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain).
• Must pass background checks and clearances (SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, MHL).
• Follow individualized plans and safety protocols.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance (hygiene, grooming, meals).
• Support independence, self-help, and social skills development.
• Ensure health and safety, including medication administration if certified.
• Document progress on individualized service plans and daily supports.
• Encourage community integration and participation in activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training, certifications, and ongoing development.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks such as thorough cleaning.
• Support individuals in developing independence, self‑help, and social skills.

• Education & Experience: No prior experience required—ideal candidates are dependable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy.
• Certifications & Requirements:
• Must meet Lifetime Assistance’s Vehicle Operator requirements (except overnight/relief shifts).
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain).
