Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional to coach Direct Support Professionals and provide high-quality, person-centered care in our home settings.

You will mentor staff, support daily living skills, and ensure plans and documentation are accurately followed while maintaining a safe, organized home environment and advocating for residents' needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, coaching and supporting Direct Support Professionals
• Assist with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement
• Ensure person-centered plans, behavior plans, and documentation are followed accurately
• Support day-to-day operations of the home in partnership with leadership
• Administer medications and maintain proper documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
• Transport individuals to appointments and advocate for their needs
• Support individuals with budgeting, household routines, and independence goals
• Complete required documentation including progress notes, incident reports, and daily logs
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide clear shift hand-offs
