Job summary

The Family Resource Network in New Jersey is seeking an After School Program Aide to support the Program Leader in delivering safe, engaging after‑school activities for children with developmental disabilities.

You will help supervise participants, organize arts, crafts, games, music and educational projects, and contribute to a respectful, empowering environment. High school diploma required; associate degree preferred; at least 18 years old with one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Program Leader with care and supervision of children attending the after school program.
  • Participates in organizing indoor and outdoor activities including arts, crafts, games, music, and educational projects, and group activities.
  • Ensures the health and safety of all program participants.
  • Provides input at staff meetings for consumer well being and program quality.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor and/or Executive Director.

Associate Degree preferred.EXPERIENCE: Must be 18 years old. Minimum of one-year experience in working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities. Related course work or experience with children with challenging behaviors a plus.
