Job summary

City of Virginia Beach is seeking a Direct Support Professional II to provide person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will implement ISP plans, assist with daily living, and ensure safety and dignity in care.

The role involves documenting care, administering medications, and aiding in community integration. A $2,500 hiring bonus and a generous benefits package are offered, including health, dental and life insurance,

Responsibilities

• Implement Person-Centered Individual Support Plans (ISP) for up to twelve (12) assigned participants.
• Assist with meal preparation, hygiene care, and activities of daily living.
• Complete all required documentation and billing processes accurately and ethically.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all participants based on their ISPs.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical appointments.
• Support participants in community integration opportunities and transport them as needed.
• Attend and participate in all mandatory meetings, supervisions, and trainings.
• Uphold participant rights, confidentiality, and follow all incident reporting processes
• Collaborate productively with all internal and external stakeholders.

As a Direct Support Professional II, you will serve adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a residential setting.

Duties:

• Implement Person-Centered Individual Support Plans (ISP) for up to twelve (12) assigned participants.

Available Shifts:

• Shift 1 - Sunday: 7am to 3pm; Monday – Thursday: 7am to 9am/3pm to 9pm
• Shift 2 – Saturday: 7am to 3pm; Tuesday – Friday: 7am to 9am/3pm to 9pm
• Shift 3 – Sunday-Thursday: 12pm-8pm or 3pm-11pm
• Shift 4 – Tuesday – Saturday: 12pm-8pm or 3pm-11pm

• $500 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
