Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide day-to-day services for participants with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, or ABI/TBI. You may assist with personal care tasks and support household activities to promote independence. Starting pay is $21.50/hour with location-based differentials.

Asleep hours are paid at $17.50/hour. Schedule includes weekends and requires a high school diploma and valid driver’s license, with comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Customer service and administrative skills required.
• Ability to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or ABI/TBI.
• High school diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid driver's license (Class C or D1) and 3 years related experience.
• Must be able to perform personal care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and teeth brushing.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, and shopping.
• Administer medications or support self-medication per guidelines.
• Accompany participants to appointments.
• Support independence and community participation.

Direct Support Professional IIPay: $21.50-$25.50/awake hours (see below for range details) ; $17.50/asleep hoursSchedule: Sunday 3p-11p, Monday 5p-11p, Tuesday 5p-11p, Thursday 3:30p-11p, 27.5/hrs; Mandatory staff meeting every 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month.Be the Difference in Someone’s Everyday LifeSupport Advocate is a direct support professional (DSP) position at Seven Hills Foundation. They act as a caregiver for a wide range of individuals with an intellectual disability, developmental disability, or an acquired brain injury (ABI or TBI). Customer service skills, administrative skills, and compassion for others are all traits of a Support Advocate. Seven Hills has opportunities for direct care providers with many years of experience, as well as for college students, paraprofessionals, or teachers looking for a new career opportunity.Starting pay is $21.50/hour, with additional differentials based on location and qualifications. Cape-based programs offer a $1/hour differential. Martha’s Vineyard programs offer a $4/hour differential, with the exception of the Franklin Street program, which offers $3/hour. To assist and/ or teach individuals varying levels of personal care which may include bathing, toileting, teeth brushing etc. so individuals always look and feel their best. To assist and/ or teach individuals household maintenance, meal prep and/or shopping, while providing ongoing opportunities for individuals to assume increasing control & responsibility over their daily lives. Support Advocates may also accompany individuals on appointments as well. Administering medications (or supporting them to self-medicate) in accordance with residential guidelines. To follow routines of the individuals including, but not limited to; Behavior Support Plans, personal care, Physical Therapy, etcCommitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own livesVaried interests and personal connections in the local communityProven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history)Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of your teamHigh school diploma/GED/HiSET requiredStandard driver’s license – class C or class D1 – 3 years of related experience
