Job summary

UCP WORK, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional I/II to support adults with disabilities in Santa Maria. This part-time role requires evening hours (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM) and weekend availability, with a sign-on bonus up to $750.

You will coach daily living skills, help access community resources, and maintain detailed ISP records. Responsibilities include household support, medication and personal care assistance, social skills activities, transportation training, and transfer support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clear live scan background check and physical.

Responsibilities

• Coaching in Daily Living Skills: Provide one-on-one coaching to support daily activities.
• Community Resource Education: Assist in using community resources.
• Accurate Record Keeping: Maintain ID notes and communication logs related to ISPs.
• Household Support: Help with meal prep, maintaining a clean and organized home, budgeting, and transportation.
• Medication Management: Assist with medication and record keeping.
• Personal Care: Help with medical/dental appointments and all aspects of personal care.
• Social Skills Development: Support individuals in attending social activities to enhance social skills.
• Public Transportation Training: Teach program participants to use public transportation and access benefits like Social Security, SSI, IHSS, and Section 8 housing.
• Transfers Assistance: Help individuals with both weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing transfers.
