Easter Seals Goodwill ND, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Lisbon, ND. This entry‑level position offers part‑time to full‑time hours and a chance to support adults and children with disabilities and their families.

You will assist individuals in pursuing personal goals, maintaining health and home, and connecting with community resources. The role requires compassionate communication and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Direct Support Professional

Lisbon, ND — Part Time to Full Time — Entry Level

About the Role

Your work at Easter Seals Goodwill ND, Inc. (ESGWND) involves providing services to adults and children with disabilities and their families. You will help achieve the mission, vision, and values of ESGWND by supporting individuals in living their best life.

Qualifications

• Interest in and/or experience supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and outcomes.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently, following instructions, being receptive to new ideas and creatively solving problems.
• Belief that everyone can and should have the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of disability.
• Age 16 or older.
• Ability to meet and maintain background investigation requirements, and commitment to providing a drug‑free, non‑violent environment for supported persons and employees.
• Driver’s License may be required depending on program needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist and support people to realize their goals and attain personal outcomes.
• Assist and support people to develop and/or maintain a social support network.
• Assist and support people to maintain or re‑establish their family connections.
• Assist and support people to maintain their home, health, and well‑being.
• Assist and support people to utilize community resources.
• Assist and support people to direct their services and make informed choices in all aspects of their life.
• Assist and support people to have a safe, abuse‑free environment.
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds on your own.
• Advocate for people with disabilities and teach community members to treat supported persons with dignity, modeling respectful attitudes and communication.

$17.00 – $19.00 per hour; based on experience.
