Job summary

Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled, Inc. (AEDD) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a male group home in Cabot, AR. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living skills and community activities.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 8am–4pm schedule and starts at $14.00 per hour, negotiable based on education and experience. A safety-sensitive role with required trainings and driving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency, or two years of verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance.
• Background check and drug screening required for all candidates.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals and understand written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills including health, hygiene and independent living tasks.
• Foster a positive, respectful home and community environment.
• Assist with daily routines per the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan.
• Help individuals engage with the community through activities like shopping and appointments.
• Provide safe transportation using candidate's vehicle (must meet AR state insurance).
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress.
• Participate in annual service planning meetings.
• Complete required training (CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, in-service) and submit weekly timesheets.
