Base pay range

Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Full-Time

Location: Glenshaw / Allegheny County (location determined based on business needs and where you reside)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Pay Rate: $16.08 - $18.08/hour (based on experience and credentialing)

Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care and personalized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, participating in community outings, transporting individuals to appointments, and promoting independence. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and compassion.

• DSP I: +$0.50/hour
• DSP II: +$0.50/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals in leading lives of personal significance
• Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, laundry, and food preparation
• Administer medications and maintain documentation
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and recreational activities
• Promote independence in daily life, including money management

Qualifications

The equivalent of a High School Diploma is required. Ability to complete one person transfers is required. One year of related experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. Must meet Act 33 and 34 requirements and pass an FBI background check. Must obtain CPR certification within six months of start date. as well as complete all training requirements associated with the Direct Support Professional position.
