ARISE CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICE INC is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional in Oneida, NY. You will assist the individual with advocacy, community activities, and learning independent living skills, with flexibility for additional hours with other clients.

Starting pay is $19.25 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on experience. A NY driver’s license and reliable transportation are required to travel to community locations and support the individual’s goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No experience required but experience with people with disabilities preferred.
• Must have New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Support Professional services to advocate for the individual and help with independent living.
• Assist in participating in community activities and outings including shopping and lunch trips.
• Travel to different locations in the community to support learning and engagement.
• Maintain effective communication and organizational notes as needed.

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Oneida, NY (GC-RR)A 34-year-old male in the Oneida area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with advocating for himself, participating in fun activities, learning how to live independently and receive assistance, if needed, in the community.He enjoys meeting new people, shopping for personal needs and going to different places for lunch. He also enjoys video games and Pokemon.The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations in the community. The ideal candidate must be open to helping him explore new activities and interests, as well as helping him feel more comfortable learning new independent skills.This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.at the agency.Hours and days of work: Hours and days are open availability.
