Indera is seeking a 1:1 Direct Support Professional to assist a young adult in Oneida, NY. Flexible, part-time position with potential additional hours; start after 3pm.

You will support community activities, identify safety issues, and encourage positive communication in daily outings. Requirements include being at least 18, having a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and strong communication and organizational skills.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.

Activities like bowling, sports or others physical activities.The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations in the community. The ideal candidate must be open to helping her explore new activities and interests, as well as helping her feel more comfortable while out in the community.This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.at the agency.Hours and days of work: Open availability; Services cannot start until 3pm due to school.Starting pay: Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.Location: Oneida, NYMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be at least 18 years oldEffective communication and organizational skills required.Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
