Community Options, Inc. in Syracuse, NY is hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers and Home Health Aides to provide person-centered care. No experience is required as paid training is provided.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement. The role involves direct care, community participation, and driving individuals to appointments, with emphasis on maintaining accurate documentation and supporting independence for individuals with IDD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to exercise good judgement and remain calm in crisis situations.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug tests.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
