Verland in Sewickley, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Main Campus team. This hourly, non-exempt role provides exceptional care to residents with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges.

Shifts available: Full-time 40 hours per week with rotating 6am-2:30pm schedules; includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and two weeks of paid training. You will assist with daily living activities, transport, meals, and personal care while documenting progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents in a safe environment.
• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs and record daily progress notes.
• Plan social, home, and recreational activities with residents.
• Assist with meals and perform housekeeping tasks.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene and dressing.

Description $2,000 Sign on BonusVerland is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the team at our Main Campus in Sewickley, PA. In this crucial role, you will be providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.

Shifts Available Full Time- 40 hours Week 1- 6am-2:30pm: Monday thru Friday Week 2 - 6am-2:30pm: Sunday thru Thursday

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Contributions

• Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned

2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
