Job summary

Willows Way, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes in North St. Louis Co. and St. Charles Co. No experience required; paid training provided. Full and part-time shifts available in St. Peters and O'Fallon.

Earn $21 per hour with excellent benefits, mileage reimbursement, and a strong commitment to safety and quality care. A valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years old.
• Driver's license and vehicle insurance; reliable vehicle for on-the-job use (mileage reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to foster self-determination, security, and meaningful relationships.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, household chores, shopping, and recreation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Complete medications records, observations, progress notes, and financial transactions.
• Support ISL program individuals 24/7 in their own homes; weekend shifts required.

CORE RESPONSIBLITIES

• Support each individual so that he/she will feel a sense of self-determination, security, and have the opportunity to have meaningful relationships with others in their community.

• Assist clients with daily life activitiesincluding personalcare, bathing, house-hold chores, shopping, recreational and social activities.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to each individual served.

• Complete all required documentation to include medication record, observation notes, progress of clients' goals and outcomes, and financial transactions.

• Individuals in ISL program receive support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week while living in their own homes.

• Shift times and hours vary from each home.All DSP's are expected to work some weekend shifts.
