Job summary

Special Citizens Futures Unlimited, Inc. is seeking compassionate caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in Riverdale, NY.

Roles are part-time and full-time, with opportunities to pick up extra shifts for more hours. You will drive a 15-passenger van, complete required trainings (CPR, SCIP, AMAP), maintain records, ensure safety, and promote independence while protecting privacy under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and High School Diploma/GED.
• Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van (road test prior to start).
• Must complete CPR, SCIP, and AMAP trainings within 6 months.
• Proficient with daily use of technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Assist with daily living activities and medication administration.
• Ensure safety and well-being of individuals in care.
• Promote independence and community integration.
• Document and maintain accurate records of services provided.
• Advocate for rights and needs of individuals with disabilities.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
