Job summary

Merakey is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals in community and home settings, providing personal care, instruction and companionship. No experience required; paid training is offered and the role supports people with developmental disabilities.

You will work with a dedicated team to help clients reach their fullest potential, in various settings including community and ATF facilities, aligning with ISP/Person-Centered Plans.

Qualifications

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or school setting with individuals with IDD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, instruction, guidance, mentoring and companionship to individuals.
• Support individuals in community, family or home settings according to ISP/Person-Centered Plan.
• Collaborate with team to promote health, safety, dignity and contentment.
