Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) seeks a Direct Support Professional to work part-time in the Dubuque area. The role involves one-on-one support for children and adults with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness, with sessions typically 2–4 hours.

Flexible daytime to evening hours, no weekends or holidays, and opportunities to increase hours with caseload growth. Qualified candidates need a high school diploma or GED; prior experience with SCL or disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• Experience with Supported Community Living (SCL) or people with disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Computer skills needed to complete documentation and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals in their home or community.
• Help with daily living skills including money management, socialization, cooking, and personal hygiene.
• Spend two to four hours with each individual during a shift.
