Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. DSPs work one-on-one, following each person’s ISP to promote independence, daily living skills, and community participation.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, transportation, documentation, and building trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old required.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Caregiving/DSP experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Compassionate, dependable and motivated to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support.
