Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. The role includes assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

The position offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for career growth. Signing bonus of $1,000 is paid when averaging 20+ hours/week, split over 12 months.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Supporting individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Using adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skills.
• Monitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicating with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Completing documentation and maintaining schedules.
• Completing in ongoing training and professional development.
