Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). You will assist with ADLs, support independence, and help clients live more independently.

If you are compassionate and reliable, we’d love to meet you! As a DSP, you will build relationships, support participation in activities, document care, and collaborate with the Abound team, families, and case managers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks and registry checks.
• Willingness to assist with personal care needs.
• Occasional lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities (meal prep, hygiene, tasks).
• Support community participation and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Monitor health and safety while providing support.
• Communicate with the Abound team, families, and case managers.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
