Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Hayward, CA for a contract - full time position. The role pays $23 per hour and involves supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges in daily living activities and skills development, across home, community or residential settings.

The DSP works directly with residents, following each person’s Individual Service Plan, and helps build interpersonal skills, independence, and adaptive

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in home, community or residential settings.
• Works directly with residents and provides supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills.
• Follows the guidance of the resident's Individual Service Plan.
