This Direct Support Professional role in Newark, DE offers meaningful day, residential, and community supports, with a scheduled pay rate of $18.00 per hour and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

You will work with individuals to promote safety, independence, and social engagement while following individual care plans and agency policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid and Mandt training required.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals to ensure safety, engagement, and well-being.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal prep.
• Follow individualized care plans and support goals and skills.
• Administer medications in accordance with policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document daily activities and incidents.
• Support social participation and community integration.
• Communicate openly with supervisors and care teams.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings; work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Treat individuals with dignity, respect, and kindness.
