Waypoint is expanding services in the Western Region of Maine and seeks Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. You will promote independence, ensure safety, and maintain professionalism with participants, families, and staff while documenting progress and following service plans.

The role emphasizes advocacy, dignity, and respectful interactions, with training provided for CRMA and Safety Care.

Qualifications

• Must have desire to work with individuals with intellectual and other complex disabilities.
• Willingness to implement positive behavior support and structured activities.
• Excellent communication with participants, families, coworkers and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to develop skills promoting independence and community participation.
