Poppy’s Promise LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Fargo to provide 1:1 support and help individuals with daily living, health, and independence goals. You will serve as a positive role model in home and community settings, documenting progress and communicating with families.

The role requires reliability, the ability to stand for long periods, and willingness to complete required trainings and background checks. Compassion and respect for people with disabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Pass criminal and background checks and drug screenings.
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for those receiving services.
• Continually supervise to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
• Assist with daily living, personal hygiene and grooming.
• Accurately document activities and progress toward goals.
• Transport to activities, appointments and social gatherings.
• Attend trainings and maintain required certifications.
• Report potential abuse, neglect and exploitation as required.
• May assist with medication administration as directed.
