Job summary

Easterseals Arkansas is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with disabilities in daily living, personal care, education, recreation and community participation within a supportive learning environment. The DSP follows individualized plans, documents progress, maintains safety, and supports health.

A high school diploma or GED is required; CNA license is preferred. A valid Arkansas driver’s license is required if driving.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED; CNA license preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification within the first 90 days and maintained thereafter.
• Valid Arkansas Driver's License if driving is required.
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals according to weight guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, education, recreation, and community engagement.
• Implement individualized plans and document progress within required timeframes.
• Maintain a safe, organized training area and report unsafe conditions.
• Support health, safety, and an active lifestyle for individuals served.
• Adhere to HIPAA and organizational policies; treat individuals with dignity and respect.
