Job summary

Charles Lea Center in Clayton/Smithfield, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in their daily lives within client homes. You will support daily living activities and help with medication administration while promoting independence.

Responsibilities include documenting progress in Therap, communicating with the team, and following safety policies. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required, with 2–4 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/reference checks.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.
• Promote independence and dignity in every interaction.
• Document daily notes and updates in Therap.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and team members.
• Follow safety, infection control, and agency policies.
• Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and positive interactions.
