Job summary

Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service (inc) is seeking a Direct Service Professional for the Community for All Day Habitation program in Brooklyn. The role supports adults with intellectual disabilities through person-centered activities, therapies, and community integration.

Work location is at 691 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217, with full-time hours (35/week) Monday–Friday 8:30–4:30. Salary ranges $17–$18 per hour; requirements include a high school diploma and OPWDD screenings as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills including ability to problem-solve.
• Must respond well to supervision and be a team player.
• Must be computer literate.
• Excellent judgment and sensitivity to the needs of the individual.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of Day Habilitation participants on and off site.
• Adhere to weekly activity sheets and maintain appropriate social behavior.
